clausimausi This leaves me tempted to just pay $50 and get a 5-license pack, which seems to still be available. The Mac I want this for will never be upgraded to Big Sur (or Mojave, for that matter), so it will be useful for some time.
Calorion Does it really work? I mean, do you get also a licence code (or 5)? I would be very surprised ...
clausimausi As it turns out, no. I was hoping that it was FastSpring that generated the keycodes. Apparently not.
Calorion :-(. So you received a refund from FastSpring? For me another sign that MH is "dead". Maybe asking FastSpring if the know a little bit more ....
Too bad ...
clausimausi I haven’t received a refund yet; I asked today. I have asked FastSpring; they forwarded the request to the developer. They don’t seem to know anything.
Calorion I hope you receive a refund (or a serial number). Good luck! Maybe you post about the feedback from FS or A/MH.
I had to reinstall the beta.pkg today as i had some other mail issues, now MailHub says that (even with my SN) it's in trial mode (which has ended)....anyone?!
BigSur is coming out soon which will probably be the death-knell of this wonderful software. I fixed my above issue by using TimeMachine to roll back the bundle in Mail and now it works.
Scotes MsgFiler is annoying, need to click out of Mail.app to use it
vicorly MsgFiler developer here. You shouldn't have to click out of Mail to use it as long as you have Hide Dock Icon enabled in MsgFiler Preferences > General. Apple's App Store guidelines prevent me from enabling this preference by default in order to be approved on the store. After doing that, MsgFiler behaves like a part of the Mail application.
HRK In a word... YES, you are missing something.
I don't want to have to create rules for everything, nor do I want ANYTHING automatically filed. I want to file it en masse like I have done for a decade now.
Plus the reminder functionality is unlike anything I have seen anywhere.
Mailhub is a gamechanger... but now the game is over.
Wow. Still no version for Catalina? This is such a shame. I just upgraded my iMac. I'm not sure how I'll cope without MailHub!
and here we go again... BigSur
They will be issued an update for BigSur?
Here we go again... BigSur. Please Please update the software, and I'm willing to Pay it You have a working business model others only can dream of.. !!!!
I followed the directions from SonKap with success. Thanks.
What directions from SonKap??
adamtow Adam -- any chance you could contact Anthony, developer-to-developer, to try to somehow obtain his code and incorporate it into MsgFiler? I've just purchased MsgFiler (3.1.4) and am trying it out, but I'm REALLY missing the predictive folders for filing messages (I don't always remember to which of my many folders I want to file a message, and MailHub always "prompts" me with what is usually the right one). I would be willing to pay for the update, of course, if you ever managed to get something like that done -- and I'm sure many others here would be too.
adamtow Adam -- you said you shouldn't have to click out of Mail to use MsgFiler. I have Hide Dock Icon enabled, and the MsgFiler window is displayed next to Mail -- but if I'm in Mail and click on one of the folders in the list in the MsgFiler window -- it doesn't select that item, but rather selects the MsgFiler window, and I THEN have to click again on the folder I want, i.e. I'm basically clicking from Mail into MsgFiler first, and only then can do the action I want. Is this how it's supposed to work? This isn't "behaving like part of the Mail application" as you indicated... I'm using MsgFiler 3.1.4 with engine 1.4.1 (in Catalina).
I installed Big Sur and using Apple Mail without MH was (!) a nightmare. Apple's function to move/copy mails to a folder is very limited and not really practicable. Works for a very few mails per day but not when you do a lot of mail communication.
So I gave MsgFiler a try, as this "PlugIn" seems to be very close to MH. It offers a very quick and easy way to file messages to a particular mailbox. And I have to say, I like it! It does not file sent mails and "lacks" more nice features of MH. But much much better than without MH.
Only the installation was a little bit confusing: installing a 6 years old version from the App Store, but also an " Engine" from the website of the developer. Confusing informations on the website (A Big Sur compatible plugin is there also available). Well. I contacted the developer and he told me to instal the AppStore app ...
igal27 I think we'd all be willing to pay
